Day 5: The urgency of charity
The meaning of our pilgrimage (excerpt from “The Wisdom of the Pilgrim” by Anselm GRUN)
Each person is unique. Each of us has to find the way to develop the talents that God gave him. We have to follow our own way, so that our life will be rich and true.
Bible passage: 1 Co 13, 1-8
I should be able to speak all human and angels language if I don’t have the charity I am just a brass which resounds, a rang out cymbal. I should be a prophet with all the mysteries science and the whole God knowledge I should have the Faith allowing to move mountains if I miss love, I am nothing. I should be able to distribute all my money to starving men, I should be able to burn myself alive, if I miss love, this is useless.
Love takes patience; love is convenient; love is not jealous. Love doesn’t brag, doesn’t have gone to the heads; it doesn’t do anything unsuitable; it doesn’t look for its interest; it doesn’t lose its temper; it doesn’t bear grudges; it isn’t happy with unfair situation but it finds its happiness in what is true; it support everything, it trusts in everything, it hopes everything, it endures everything. Love will never pass.
Meditation
“If I don’t have any love, I am nothing” We are the heart of the Christian faith. Saint Michael whose deep nature is to serve God by love, help us to welcome God's love in our life.
Prayer intention for us
Let’s request to Saint Michael the grace to work every day in order to become saints. As sometimes we feel lost: let’s ask for the grace to believe always that we are “sent by God”.
Say one “Our Father”, one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory Be to the Father”.

Let’s ask for the grace to keep every day a loving and strong heart, praying for our enemies conversion.

Prayer
Saint Michael enlighten my heart troubled by the struggles each day. Strenghten my steps and keep them on the path leading to life. Help me to find the strength to serve the poor people and to spread charity.
