Day 3: Lead the good battle of faith
The meaning of our pilgrimage (excerpt from “The Wisdom of the Pilgrim” by Anselm GRUN)
Many people are afraid to set off because leaving could lead them to loneliness. The pilgrim thinks the world is becoming strange for him. He has no idea about what he will meet on the lane. (…) The one who wishes with all his heart staying spiritually alive must do a pilgrimage to God. God doesn’t belong to him, he goes to meet Him.
Bible passage: Eph 6, 11-18
Put on the fight equipment given by God, in order to be able to resist against the devil tactics.
Because we don’t fight against humans but against Domineering in this Realm of Darkness, Principalities, Sovereignty, forces of evil which are in celestial places.
For this, take the fight equipment given by God: so you will be able to resist when occurs the adversity day and display to hold out.
Yes, hold out with around your waist the truth belt wearing the justice breast-place, the feet put on with the fervor to announce the peace Gospel and never leaving the faith shield which will allow you to reach the Devil burned arrows.
Take the salvation safety helmet and the Spirit double-edged sword which are God words.
In any circumstances let the Spirit help you to pray and to beg: stay awake, be diligent to the faithfuls supplication.
Christian life is not a long and quiet river. Living according the Gospel message is like giving battle to himself and to all the spirits which are obstacles to God love. With Saint Michael and with the Holy Spirit help I decide to use all resources that are given to me by God's Words and the Church to choose life and to resist the evil influence.
Prayer intention for us
Let’s pray to ask God a humble heart which will protect us against all hatred.
Say one “Our Father”, one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory Be to the Father”.
Prayer intention for our country
Let’s pray collectively for our country, whatever the attacks.
Recite one “Our Father”, one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory Be to the Father”.
Saint Michael, you who watch over the entire God people, give them to announce the Gospel so that each man can recognize in himself and in his brothers and sisters God's love. Also, we ask that the Church welcome all people who look for God's presence in their life.
Take a moment to treasure up all these things and ponder them in your heart (cf Luke 2,19)
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
