Day 12 : Christ's Moving Love
Growing into a saint, aspiring to follow Christ—that's so demanding. So exhausting. So out of this world. Why would we want that? To start the fourth part of our retreat, let's take a step back and ask ourselves why and how we should, as saint Paul urges us:
throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, [and] run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1).
The answer lies in the next verse: “keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith”. Holiness is a path worth walking, because of Christ's moving love for you and for everyone. A love that can we can perfectly relate to, because it deliberately chose to experience all our struggles. A love that did not shy away from any suffering for our sake. A love that at all time surrounds us and never leaves us defenseless against adversity. A love worth experiencing.
Now it's our turn to love this love. And for true lovers, no hardship is too daunting when the prize is to be, at last, united with the Loved One!
A question to ask yourself

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
