Day 9 - Saint Rita, Lavish in Granting Favours
Audio version
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:14-20
For the love of Christ impels us, once we have come to the conviction that one died for all; therefore, all have died. He indeed died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
Consequently, from now on we regard no one according to the flesh; even if we once knew Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no longer. So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Prayer of this day
Saint Rita, may the Most High, in whom I place all my trust, deign, through your merciful prayer to extend his Spirit of Mercy upon me, a humble creature.
O Most Holy Rita, obtain for me, in spite of my sins and my many weaknesses, the fulfilment of my requests formulated with the most fervent hope.
Let the gift of Faith live and bear fruit in me and even if the dark night were to spread around me, may I not fear it since I place myself under the protection of the Most High.
Saint Rita, blessed intermediary between the Lord and men, keep my faith always life-giving and help me, by your holy example, to apply in my daily life and in each of my acts, the virtue of Hope, as you yourself have done at every moment of your earthly life. Amen.
Saint Rita, lavish in granting favours, pray for us.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
