Day twenty-nine - The grace of courage

Main post image

Dear Participants,

Welcome to day twenty-nine of our retreat!

Back to our topic: the grace Father Lamy received from Mary is the grace of courage to move forward. This grace, Mary can bestow on each one of us.

Each time Father Lamy encountered an obstacle, he found a way to move forward. His efforts culminated in the creation of his own congregation of the Servants of Jesus of Mary, as an answer to the world's evil.

Father Lamy was called to work for the greater good as the simple diocesan priest he was - and he did wonders. There is no need to be in a high position of power to be courageous and achieve positive change.

It is the same for all the people of God: wherever you are, whatever you do, gather courage, move forward, and make this world better. This is our calling.

For Father Lamy, Mary's grace of courage allowed him to move forward, like Mary who followed the Lamb wherever he went, up to his descent into utter vulnerability. With Mary's grace, the Lord will accompany us forever and teach us to stay in Him.
