Day twenty-six - With Mary, from darkness to light

Main post image

Dear Participants,

Welcome to day twenty-six of our retreat!

We learned that it is always in our power to positively impact an ailing world when we are in Mary's grace, when we dwell in the Lord.

Fine. But still, we cannot help but ask the question: "Is the Lord really among us, is He really visiting us? With all the calamities we are seeing..." An old conundrum, still relevant. How many times did we hear these comments, following a devastating natural event: "God is punishing us, God doesn't have mercy, He doesn't care for the poor!" Although we are the ones who eliminated Him from our lives, we are prompt to accuse Him in the first place...

With Mary, let us walk from darkness into the light.

Let us look at our lives with Mary's eyes. With her, let us choose to cross from the void to the being, let us learn, emerge, make the light shine amidst the darkness, just as Father Lamy did.

Being with the Lord, in the Lord, doesn't mean being free of trials and living a comfortable life. Look at the Saints, most of them went through terrible ordeals, deep down their heart.

The Lord will not change our life; He will not change our personality, He will not change our history. He will teach us to let Him in, bring the light, and transfigure us.

Let us pray:
