When illness strikes a child, it may cause a tremendous strain on his/her mother. It disrupts the family structure, requires several lifestyle alterations, shifts responsibilities, may result in lost income, etc. All these combined will contribute to raising anxiety and stress levels.

Let us pray today for these mothers, in the throes of their child's acute sickness.

Prayer of the Day

Dear Lord, please bless these mothers, as they care for their child: grant them patience, peace, comfort, and love. Send the right people at the right time to bless them, and touch the heart of those who want to help, so that they can aid and assist. When loneliness and despair strike, wrap Your loving arms around each and every mom and remind them that You are there.

Heavenly Father, watch over her child, Your child, and grant that they may be restored to that perfect health which it is Yours alone to give.
