Day 9 : Pray not to judge Victims of violence

Main post image

Day 9 : Today we pray for all of us and our parish that we might not judge victims of domestic violence but offer them the support they need to free themselves from abuse.

Dear St Monica, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime. Yet you never despaired or lost faith. With confidence, persistence, and profound faith, you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius and your beloved son, Augustine. Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord.

Intercede for me that God may favorably hear my plea for (mention your petition here).

And grant me the grace to accept his will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
