You are invited to Join the Hozana global community of prayer for a special Holy Week Retreat beginning on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021 and concluding on Easter Sunday. This daily retreat is based on the Gospel readings of the day with an opportunity for meditative and reflective prayer.

Retreat Programme:

Each day throughout the week, you will receive our daily reflection delivered to your inbox in the following format.

  • A visual reflection of artwork from the “Life of Christ” works by the French Biblical Artist, James Tissot (1836-1902).

  • A short preview of the reading of the day.

  • An invitation to quiet yourself and to enter into a prayer of the heart.

  • The scripture reading of the day.

  • A short reflection for further contemplation or journaling if desired.

  • A suggested closing prayer.

It is our hope that you can spend 10, 20 or maybe even 30 minutes on some days to open yourself to the graces of this most holy time. God longs and waits for us; always seeking, never pushing, always patient and continuously inviting, calling our hearts to be united with His!

We pray you will join us for this opportunity to immerse yourself in the powerful scripture verses with beautiful corresponding artworks of the passion of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ during this holiest of weeks. Please know that throughout your busy days, and in whatever time you can offer to God throughout this retreat, we hold you in our daily prayer as we journey together.

Prayer from the retreat

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And let us not enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
