Sanctify the Sunday

‘If I can't go to Mass, how can I mark this Sunday?' The Dominican student brothers would like to offer you some guidance on how you can keep the Day of the Lord holy.

This Sunday, the Dominican student brothers at Blackfriars Oxford will be launching a series of posts to help you sanctify your Sunday: guiding you through the readings, offering resources for meditations, and helping you unite your prayers to the ongoing sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.

We also hope to offer further resources in the near future, including live streams of liturgies, reflections on the current situation, and responses to any questions you might have.

If you like to receive our newsletter every Sunday with this and much more, you can sign up here.

Act of Spiritual Communion (Alphonsus Liguori)

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
